Great machine
Date: February 6, 2010
I replaced my old treadmil with this one - wow! what a difference. Granted my other treadmil was several years old. This one is very sturdy and has everything I want. I love seeing everything from time to mile pace. I am hoping to do my first Marathon this fall 2010. This machine will be a big asset for me. Thanks Lance Armstrong - LIVE STRONG!

Incredible Purchase
Date: April 7, 2010
My husband and I searched high and low for a treadmill and almost bought a used Nordic Track. But after reading on Nordic Track's we found out two critical issues. First of all, any and all warrenties that were issued at the time of purchase would be rendered if there was a new owner. Secondly, we checked out the reviews on the Nordick track and found that that there were a lot of complaints when with the costumer service and repair. Knowing that we wanted a company that we could rely on and plus wanted the lifetime warranties that came with the treadmill.
It wasn't until after we went to Dick's sporting goods store. There we tried out both the SOLE models and the Livestrong models. The sole models were a great treadmill and I had heard so much about them and thought that that was the route we were going. But after I tried out the LIVESTRONG Fitness LS12.9T Treadmill, I was convinced that this was the route that we were going to go. Livestrong is very comparable to sole, but at a lower price with a great look.
We did not buy from Dick's because there was no way that we would be able to get it to our house without paying a fee, and so we purchased it directly from the Livestrong company website. Unlike buying it from Dick's, we were able to get FREE shipping, FREE in house delivary, and also a FREE heart monitor, all for the same price.
I get great workouts, and love to monitor my heart rate when I am working out. Good luck on your shopping endeavors.

Sturdy Treadmill
Date: April 2, 2010
Let me start out by saying I am not an exercise maniac. I like to jog more than run and am heading down the other side of 50. Regardless, I was looking for a sturdy, reliable treadmill that would hold up to a stocky 225 pound guy. I originally purchased a Bowflex Series 7 machine based on reviews (consumers digest, on-line forums) but after electronic problems within a day of setting it up and the lack of the unit being usable for over a month while I waited for replacement parts, I shipped it back. Others have had great success with that treadmill, so God bless. Anyway, my next search found me at Dicks Sporting Goods where the Livestrong treadmills were displayed. I tried them out and liked the LS12.9 due to the sturdiness and the Livestrong warranties (Lifetime warranty on motor and frame; 5-year coverage on all parts. Unlimited "in-home" repairs for 2 full years). The treadmill feels solid and hasn't let me down yet. The Livestrong brand is fairly new so there isn't much history on longevity. Given the good warranty, sturdiness of the unit, other good reviews, and the fact that some of the money does go to Armstrong's causes, I'm glad I bought it.

Very pleased with treadmill. Have run on many of the hotel and franchise fitness centers treadmills, this compares with those for quality. The Livestrong is very simple to use and setup.

Just missing web integration
Date: April 1, 2010
Great product, sturdy with nice features including wireless pulse with an included Polar chest strap. It also logs your workouts but I'd love to see it send the results of each workout to a website where I could analyze it. Maybe partner with a company like RunKeeper (www.runkeeper.com).

Best In Home Treadmill
Date: March 31, 2010
This treadmill is not a flimsy one. It is very sturdy and performs like the ones in the gym.....but better. We looked at this vs. Sole and there was no question on which one we should get. Once you have this set up.....no more excuses. I really love it and highly recommend LIVESTRONG over any other national branded treadmill.

Awesome treadmill for the money!
Date: February 3, 2010
I used to own a Keys treadmill that had a 2.5 horsepower motor. It never seemed to be up to par. It finally wore out so I looked online and found the Livestrong model and it far superior. My wife and I both are more than satisfied.

Excellent Product and Value
Date: February 2, 2010
My wife and I have been using the 12.9T for a month now and have been extremely satisfied with our purchase. We were able to try out the treadmill and comparable Sole models at Dick's Sporting Goods before purchasing and were far more impressed by the sturdiness and feel of the less expensive Livestrong models. Assembly was straight forward, and completed in less than an hour...just make sure you have two strong people to move the box to where you need it. Don't unpack it until you have it in the room where you're going to put it together.
So far, we've put it through its paces without any issues. We really like the fitness journal. It's very rewarding to see total stats (like calories and miles) stack up and compete against each other to see who's logging more workout time...we enjoy a little friendly competition. We were also very impressed with the speaker system on the Livestrong equipment. We use the speakers to play music in the workout room while doing other exercises as well. The sound quality is very impressive.
This is the best treadmill we could find in this price range and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for gym quality equipment for their home.

250 lbs and works great

I weight 250 lbs and am 6ft 1inch tall. I needed a sturdy treadmill that could handle my weight and stride. The LS12.9T does the job.

Overall good, but issue with speakers
Date: January 25, 2010
I purchased this treadmill a week ago and so far the only issue that I am having with it is that the speakers do not work. According to the instructions, you are supposed to just plug in your MP3 player or IPOD and it works, but this is not the case. Unless there is a secret to turning this on, I have yet to get it to do anything. The program choices are wide and the ease of the increasing and decreasing the speed and incline is good. I love the sturdy feel of it and is as good as a gym model. Time will tell if they stand by their warranty and whether it holds up to the gym models over time, but so far I'm pleased with the operation of the treadmill.
