The treadmill has been a very pleasant suprise for the money we paid for it. It is pretty quiet and the controls are very easy to navigate.

Great treadmill
Date: April 28, 2010
At first I was sorry that I purchased this treadmill because the belt would not stay centered. Livestrong sent a new running belt to me and a tech came to my home and installed the new belt. It is working perfectly. Everything was under warranty so there was no charge to me. I want to pass on the fact that the technician said that he services very few Livestrong treadmills because they are so well built.

My husband bought this for me 3 weeks ago, and since then I was only able to use it for a week because I noticed the belt was loose, since then we tightened it and now the belt will not stay straight. I am really annoyed! We payed almost $1000 for this and I can not use it and the only way we can get if fixed if I go back in and purchase the warranty, which I just didn't want to spend the extra money on that! Other than that I would love it if I could just get back on it, The speakers are very loud I hook my mini lap top up to it and plug it into the speakers and watch tv.

Good treadmill plagued by problems
Date: April 3, 2010
After purchasing this treadmill directly from Livestrong (free shipping, no tax in my state), I was notified that one of two freight carriers would deliver it. I never received another communication, but got delivery in about 6 days, which is pretty quick in my opinion.
The box was damaged, but upon initial inspection, the damage was superficial (a bit of scuffing to the motor cover was all that was apparent), so I accepted delivery.
After opening the box, I found some broken plastic pieces in the box, but not finding where they came from, I assumed they were holding cables in the box or something and put them aside. Only after assembly, did I find out what it was - there was a terrible rubbing noise when I first started the treadmill.
To make a long story short, the flywheel from the motor was rubbing against the BOTTOM cover of the treadmill, which was where the broken pieces came from. Assuming it was a problem with the bottom cover itself, I ordered a replacement from support.
After it came (about a week later), the local support company came out to install in after another week or so. After about 4 hours, we couldn't resolve the rubbing problem - it appeared that the box had been dropped very hard, and had bent either the motor mount or the frame.
Hopefully the replacement motor mount that I ordered corrects the problem, otherwise I will insist on a new treadmill.
That said, when the treadmill IS working, it's great. I don't have a lot of experience with home treadmills, but it seems very quiet and goes up to a high speed and a high incline. The built in workouts are not.
The only downside that I noted was the built in heart rate monitor (hand grips). It's not very accurate, and the fact that you have to hold the stationary hand grips doesn't help, especially when getting up in speed; you want to let your arms swing and really get into the workout. If you want, you can get a wristwatch style heart rate monitor from a sporting goods store and be able to use it with any equipment or even outside.
All in all, it's a good treadmill - I can't fault the company for either the handling company or delivery company's mistake; the repair technicians did say that they'd install a lot of these and have never seen this particular issue. I do expect Livestrong to rectify it and stand by their product and am hoping for a satisfactory outcome to be able to use the treadmill I purchased.

Fairly simple set up. Sturdy design, good looks. Only drawback - noisy belt, especially on inclines.

Decent price & quality, lifespan questionable
Date: February 4, 2010
I've had the LS7.9T working for about 6 weeks now, owned for about 8. It was busted out of the box, and after multiple part shipments, replacing all the circuit boards it now works (mostly, no cardiac or calorie counting). I clock around 40 miles a week running on it, it's somewhat stable, and seems to be holding up ok, but already the bolt holding the left hydraulic arm to the running board has busted. I'm not a heavy guy, i do run hard on it, but its "durability" was the main selling point. I tested the LS9.9T in the store, and feel now that it is a much sturdier model, and overall both the 7.9 and 9.9 are a lot studier than other brands of comparable price. If I were to buy another one it would not be the 7.9, but still likely a livestrong treadmill.
